Last Fall, we had the opportunity to witness the enduring love of Eric and Shakétta as they said “I do” to each other on the beautiful grounds of Belmont Manor and Historic Park.
It was a contemporary garden style wedding as the grounds of the manor provided the perfect backdrop. The Groom (Eric) looked dapper in a steel grey suit and ultra sleek white Addidas sneakers. Our gorgeous Bride (Shakétta) adorned a sleek bodice dress and ultra glam bling spiral-heel stillettos, and was escorted down the aisle by her Mother to a solo performance by Candice Simmons. Officiant, Leora Motely of With This Ring I Thee Wedd, choreographed an intimate service full of humor and love that reflected the journey of Eric and Shakétta. At the end there was a boisterous cheer as they kissed and said, “I do”, to the sounds of Bruno Mars, “Marry You.”
After the ceremony, guests had cocktails at the upper garden and then transitioned to a tented area for the reception. Entering the reception as Mr. & Mrs., the two love birds made some swanky moves on the dance floor to Chris Stapleton’s, “Tennessee Whiskey” for their first dance selection. And just as Shakétta’s Mom walked her down the aisle, they also performed some sophisticated dance moves together to Patti Labelle’s 1975, “Lady Marmalade”; Shakétta & her Mom stole the show!
It was a joyful night under the stars and it was a grand affair for the love of Eric and Shakétta.
